Mena Alexandra Suvari (born on the 13th of February, 1979) is an American actress fashion designer and model. She started her modeling career in 1990 and soon moved into acting, after guest appearances on television series such as Boy Meets World or High Incident. The film debut came in the drama Nowhere. She transitioned to important roles thanks to her performance as a character in American Beauty for which she was nominated for the BAFTA Award and American Pie each of which garnered the attention of film critics. After that, she starred in Loser (2000) with her American Pie co-star Jason Biggs and was later the main role in the comedy film Sugar & Spice (2001). Spun an independent 2002 drama film, as well as Trauma (2004) thrillers were also prominent in her work. In 2004, she was a guest on HBO's show Six Feet Under. She was nominated for the Screen Actors ' Guild Award for 2005 in the category of Outstanding Ensemble.
