Sofia Pernas was born in Morocco and moved to California when she was five. She grew up primarily in Orange County. The actress got her first big break acting after graduating from University of California San Diego in the year 2015. Following a few appearances on NCIS as well as Leverage Pernas landed the role as Marisa Sierras in The Young and the Restless. Following her departure from the soap-opera Jane the Virgin in 2016 she was recast in the role of Catalina the character that appeared on the show regularly. The actress who is multi-lingual has appeared in The Brave, The Green Ghost, and Secret Society of Second Born Royals. The role she played as Lexi Vaziri was on Blood & Treasure between 2019 between 2019 and 2020. Us Weekly confirmed in May 2020 that Pernas was with her ex- The Young and the Restless costar Justin Hartley. This relationship began in May of 2020, after Pernas broke up with her husband Chrishell Stause. News came out the following month that Pernas and Hartley have recently got married in a secret ceremony.
