Sofia Pernas grew in Orange County, California. Sofia Pernas is a Moroccan origin - relocated to California as a child when she was just five years old. She graduated in 2015 from the University of California San Diego and made her debut acting. Pernas, who had made small appearances in NCIS as well as Leverage prior to her debut in the role of Marisa in The Young and the Restless and was an established face on the soap opera. In 2016, after leaving the soap opera she was offered the role of Catalina on Jane the Virgin. Us Weekly revealed in May of 2020 that Pernas has been dating Justin Hartley, her The Young and the Restless co-star. The couple began dating following The This Is Us star split from her spouse Chrishell Stause November of 2019. Pernas Hartley recently wed at a private wedding, according to news in May 2020.
