LeBron Raymone James Sr. (born December 30 1984) is an American professional basketball player who plays for the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). James is known as King James and is considered to be one of the most successful basketball players in history. James has won four NBA championships and four NBA MVPs, three All-Star MVPs along with 2 Olympic medals. James is the player with the most points during the playoffs, and has the second highest number of career points and is seventh in ever assists. Alongside being an NBA All-Star, James was chosen to the NBA All-NBA Team on 18 occasions. Ten NBA Finals is the most ever before, with eight of them in succession between 2011 and 2018; James was also chosen for the NBA 75th Anniversary Team. James has been selected for his place on the NBA 75th Anniversary Team and became the NBA's first player who has scored 10,000+ points, rebounds, and assists throughout his career. He will be the first to do so in 2022. James played basketball at St. Vincent St. Mary High School in his home town in Akron Ohio and was heavily touted by the national media as a future NBA superstar. In 2003 it was the time that Cleveland Cavaliers took him first in the NBA draft, as a pre-pro. In 2004, he was named NBA Rookie. Then, he quickly was one of the league's best athletes, winning the NBA MVP in both 2009 and 2010. After failing to win the championship Cleveland James left in 2010 as a free agent in order to be a part of the Miami Heat this was announced on television in the special The Decision and is among the most controversial free-agent decisions throughout sports history.
